Certificate of Added Qualification

Successful attainment of this Certificate of Added Qualification (CCAQ) recognizes Physicians and Mid-Level Providers with advanced level training who have demonstrated their knowledge and proficiency in assessing patients, preparing wound beds, selecting appropriate products, and effectively utilizing clinical algorithms. These skills are essential for enhancing outcomes in patients treated with Cellular, Acellular, and Matrix-like Products.

Applicants are expected to have completed an approved course related to CAMPs. Clinicians, who complete this training, submit the required application and then successfully pass the CAMPs Certificate of Added Qualification Examination will be awarded a CAMPs Certificate of Added Qualification by the American Board of Wound Healing (ABWH).  

CAMPs Certificate of Added Qualification is administered by the ABWH and endorsed by the American Professional Wound Care Association (APWCA).

CAMPs C.A.Q Requirements:

All clinicians seeking CAMPs C.A.Q must complete an application with the ABWH and submit the following information:

  1. Copy of an active State License
  2. Documentation of active membership and good standing in Professional Wound Care Society (AAWC, ACCWS or APWCA)
  3. A certificate documenting the successful attendance and completion of an APWCA endorsed CCAQ Training Course
  4. Submission of 3 (three) actual patient cases which photographically demonstrated successful débridement and document wound bed preparation skills of the applicant
  5. Once the application is approved the clinician must successfully pass the online CCAQ examination administered by the ABWH
